Friday Night Smackdown Full Show Summary and Result (11 June 2021)

WWE SMACKDOWN kicked off in Roman Reigns private locker room as Reigns told Jey Uso that he owed the Tribal Chief. Roman reminded Jey that the one rule is to never embarrass the family and though Jey knew that, Jimmy didn't.

Jimmy Uso was out on SmackDown and said that Roman ruined their second title shot last week because Reigns just had to step into the spotlight and interfere. He then said that he was his brother's 'people' and not Roman's. He also said that Roman was trying to create a rift between him and Jey on SmackDown.

Backstage in the lockers, Roman told Jey that a year ago, the WWE Universe could barely tell The Usos apart.

Shortly after, Jey and Jimmy argued and Jey said that he was caught in the middle of all this. Jimmy said that he had his own locker and asked Jey to join him there.

Kevin Owens & Big E vs. Apollo Crews & Sami Zayn on SmackDown

Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews kicked off the match and after taking the champ out, Owens headed straight to the outside to attack Sami Zayn. Back in the ring, Sami was tagged in and they managed to isolate KO in their corner. 

Big E was tagged in and took a beating before he was tossed outside the ring by Crews with a spear. After the break, Owens was back and hit Sami with a Cannonball and a Swanton Bomb before getting a near fall.

Crews tagged back in and took a Superkick and a pop-up powerbomb before Sami broke the pin. Sami hit a Blue Thunderbomb on KO while Big E wiped out Apollo on the outside. KO hit the stunner and picked up the win on SmackDown for his team.

Result: Kevin Owens & Big E def. Apollo Crews & Sami Zayn

After the match on SmackDown, Apollo said that he was not beaten and he only lost because of Zayn's incompetence. Crews challenged KO and Big E to a match next week involving him and Commander Azeez.

Sami protested Apollo calling him an idiot and yelled at him but Azeez dropped him with a Nigerian Nail and wiped him out.

The Street Profits were backstage and Chad Gable apologized for Otis' actions last week. He also said that he canceled the tag team match between the two teams. The Profits laughed him off and Chad said he would face either of them and Ford stepped up. Chad left after saying: "Otis is still angry".

In the lockers, Jey told Reigns that if Roman had to talk to Jimmy, he would have to go to the The Usos' locker room. The Universal Champion laughed at the fact and walked out menacingly after letting Jey know that they should expect a visit from the Tribal Chief on SmackDown.

Carmella vs. Liv Morgan on SmackDown

Liv Morgan unloaded on Carmella as the match started and the former Women's Champion took her outside and smashed her into the barricades.

Back in the ring on SmackDown, Liv sent Carmella into the turnbuckle, launching her off her feet. Morgan hit the superkick hanging Mella up between the ropes, before following up with the springboard flatliner for the win!

Result: Liv Morgan def. Carmella

Carmella demanded that she be called the most beautiful woman in WWE after her loss on SmackDown as if it were a title.

Ding Dong, Hello' returns on SmackDown

'Ding Dong, Hello' was back on SmackDown, and Bayley's guest was Seth Rollins. They watched footage of Bayley's interaction with Bianca Belair last week as well as footage of Rollins' attack on Cesaro from earlier, all the while laughing maniacally together.

Amidst the laughter, Bayley's fake door had a visitor and Rollins tried to be a gentleman and answer it on her behalf. Cesaro was on the other side of the door and attacked Rollins, ripping his pants off in the process and destroyed Bayley's set.

Rollins was down and Bayley was not happy with her set being ruined. Bianca Belair came out at this point and started laughing in the same way Bayley and Rollins had been for so long.

Backstage on SmackDown, Rey Mysterio said that Roman hurt his son Dominik and will pay for messing with his family.

Chad Gable vs. Montez Ford on SmackDown

Gable took Montez down and locked in an arm stretch on the mat but Ford got out of it. They trades holds before Ford locked in an armbar of his own. Backstage, Otis attacked Dawkins who was watching the match on the monitors.

Back after a break on SmackDown, Gable was in control and got a near fall off a counter. Ford came back with a standing Moonsault before going for a splash. Ford got a near fall when Otis attacked him, ending the match in a disqualification.

Otis dragged Ford outside and sent him into the barricades and steel steps before hitting a splash on him in the ring. Dawkins limped out to save Ford but Otis was too strong as he hit the Vader Bomb on Ford.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. King Corbin on SmackDown

Nakamura went after Corbin right off the bat and got a near fall. Corbin hit a Deep Six and got a near fall of his own after dodging the Kinshasa. Shinsuke sent Corbin into the corner while Rick Boogs was outside cheering him on with his guitar.

Nakamura countered the next attack from Corbin and quickly rolled him up for the win on SmackDown. Corbin took Nakamura out after the match and went for his crown but was distracted by Rick Boogs.

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura def. King Corbin

Boogs and Corbin were brawling when Nakamura took the crown and ran away.

King Corbin rushed backstage and told Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to make Nakamura give his crown back. They proposed that the two have a match to decide the fate of the crown.

Jey Uso walks out on Jimmy and Roman Reigns on SmackDown

Roman Reigns walked into the Usos' locker room and Jimmy said that he was done watching Roman use Jey. Jimmy called Roman a B*tch and Jey was caught between the two.

Jey snapped and said that he was tired of them both and walked out. Jimmy challenged Roman to match to decide the dispute and Roman was shocked.

Roman used his twisted logic on SmackDown to justify that helping him made Jey's career and that Jimmy was ruining it for him. Jey walked out without a word and Roman looked like he was scheming.

Roman Reigns was challenged to a HIAC match by a WWE Legend

Rey Mysterio was out next and called Roman Reigns out to the ring on SmackDown.

Rey said that Roman disrespected his family before Reigns walked out with Paul Heyman. Rey and Roman were both in the ring and Rey called him a rat b*stard who put his hands on his son.

Rey said that he was ready to fight Roman, even if it meant a loss for him. He then laid out a challenge for Hell in a Cell and asked Roman to acknowledge it. Reigns was about to answer but Rey got a kendo stick out of nowhere and went after him.

Roman hit a headbutt and superman punch before Dominik attacked him with another kendo stick. Roman powerbombed Dom out of the ring and wiped him out. Rey returned with the stick again before Roman kicked him off and officials came out to stop the carnage as SmackDown went off the air.
